SEWER LINE PROBLEMS

If a resident encounters a problem with the sanitary sewer line, please call the Borough Offices BEFORE contacting a plumber. If the problem occurs during regular business hours Monday through Friday, please call 412-882-9600 ext 250.

If a sewer line problem occurs during the evening, on a weekend, or on a holiday, please call 412-881-8000.

A permit and a $10 fee is required for re-connection of sanitary sewer facilities including but not limited to the repair and/or replacement of residential lateral lines. More information is available in the Borough Manager's Office during regular business hours.

ALARM SYSTEMS

Any person or business installing an Alarm System must register the system and obtain a permit from the Baldwin Borough Police Department. The initial registration fee must be submitted to Baldwin Borough with five (5) days after the installation of the alarm. Registration occurring on or before June 30 shall be charged the full annual fee; after June 30 shall be charged one half of the annual fee. Residential registration is $5 per year; Commercial is $60 per year.

Registrationss must be renewed annually. Failure to renew shall be classified as a non-registered Alarm System and penalties shall be assessed. A $25 late fee may be assessed if renewal is more than 30 days late.

** FAILURE TO REGISTER ALARM SYSTEM MAY RESULT IN A $200 FINE 

COMPOSTING CLASSES

Attend a Backyard Composting Workshop offered by the Pennsylvania Resources Council to learn how to turn you kitchen scraps and yard debris into rich, homemade compost for your gardens and lawn.
