Local Cable Service Offerings |
|
As most residents of Baldwin Borough know, Verizon is offering cable services in the Borough. This means residents will have an option of cable providers: Comcast or Verizon. Borough Council thought that residents would like to have a series of questions to ask a cable provider to assist them in making a choice. The questions to pose are:
Are there any activation or installation fees?
Are there any charges or rental fees to connect more than one phone, computer or TV?
Does the company bill a month in advance or retroactively for the past month?
What will be the total amount of the first bill, and subsequent bills, including taxes and fees?
Are there charges from repair calls?
Are there termination fees?
If you cancel a service, what do you do with the equipment?
Is there a “grace period” to cancel the service without a termination fee?
The web sites for Verizon and Comcast a shown below: www.verizon.net www.comcast.com |
